Westhaven in transition - planning for a greener, more active community

Is there a more hidden-away neighbourhood in all of Montreal than Westhaven? Right at the western tip of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce lies an isolated wedge of land with its own unique community and history waiting to be discovered. A primarily immigrant community, Westhaven is also the site of one of Montreal’s newest participatory neighbourhood planning initiatives aimed at breaking down both physical and social barriers to create a healthier, more active community. Come learn first-hand from local residents and from the project team leading this initiative about the neighbourhood, some of the positive changes that may be coming, and some of the challenges that still lie ahead.
